Clearing things up and setting things right

Hello everyone,

Now that there is a next installment in the works in the Mavericks series there has been some confusion about the chronological order of the games. Especially around Mavericks Final. Is Mavericks Final to be considered as a standalone game or a continuation of the series?

Reconsidering this I have to admit that it kind of messed up with my mind as well. This is because Maverick Final was to be intended as the last game in the series. But now that I’ve decided to continue with the series Mavericks Final is to be considered as the actual Mavericks 4.  

This means that the recent announced game as Mavericks 4 – Rise of the X-Hunters will not carry this title anymore and is also not the fourth installment in the series. The title will be renamed to Mega Man X – Mavericks Final Strike (Vol.1) and it will be announced as the fifth installment in the series.

So to clear things up and setting things right the correct chronological order of the games will be as follow: 

- Mavericks 

- Mavericks 2 - Ressurrection of the Repliforce

- Mavericks 3 – Zero’s Revenge

- Mavericks - Final                       (aka Mavericks 4)

- Mavericks - Final Strike Vol.1      (aka Mavericks 5)

And spoiler alert!

- Mavericks - Final Strike Vol.2      (aka Mavericks 6)

Progress on the next installment is about 70% so there’s still things to do, but I’ll update again as soon as possible.
